L1 Carpentry - Build 4 NZ - Semester A

Why should students take this course?

The student will qualify with basic knowledge and skills for work and/or further learning.

What curriculum skills will students learn in this course?

  • The graduate will be able to:-
  • Demonstrate basic general and/or foundation knowledge
  • Apply basic skills required to carry out simple tasks.
  • Apply basic solutions to simple problems.
  • Apply literacy and numeracy skills for participation in everyday life.
  • Work with supervision
  • Demonstrate some responsibility for own learning.
  • Interact with others.

Special Information

This is a ONE semester only course. It can only be taken in Semester A or B. Not both.

There is opportunity for an Acheivement Standards based course with subject endorsement leading towards UE. Please discuss this with your teacher/HOF.
