Level 2 Chemistry - Semester A
This increases the depth of chemistry knowledge and provides opportunities to develop practical skills in Chemistry. Students develop practical skills involving titration and analysis of ions in solution.
Curriculum Skills:
- Collaboration during practical work.
- High level thinking skills.
- Analysis and evaluation of results.
- Precise observation technique.
- High levels of self management.
- Working safely within a laboratory
In order to gain a Course Endorsement, students will have to go onto study Semester B of Level 2 Chemistry.
Prior Learning & Prerequisites
Ideally students choosing this course would have passed an external science paper at Level 1. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, entry to this course will be on a case by case basis.
Pathway
This Semester could lead onto Semester B Chemistry and then onto Level 3 Chemistry.
Credit Information
This course is eligible for subject endorsement, however, you will need to select both Semester A and B.
Total Credits Available: 10 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 10 credits.
