10 Sport Leadership - Line 2 - Semester B

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Wilson

This practical sport option is designed to cater for students with a genuine interest in sport and fitness. The individual must be committed and willing to work hard physically in order to improve their personal level of strength and conditioning. The use of the school’s weight training facility will aid in this development. Areas of study include: developing your fitness and skill development in a range of activities, basic introduction to Anatomy, Biomechanics and responses to exercise (which forms the foundation to academic physical education in the senior school) and co-operative games to develop and foster student leadership.

Selection of a course does not guarantee entry into the course. Courses may not run due to low numbers and timetable clashes may occur. In both of these situations, the student will be consulted about alternative courses during the Course Confirmation process.
