NCEA L1 Agriculture & Horticulture
Level 1 AgHort will focus on food production and will include life processes in livestock and horticultural plant management practices as well as soil properties and how they are managed in a primary production system.
Key curriculum skills learned in this course are manaakitanga of the whenua to ensure sustainability. Tiakitanga or guardianship of the environment. Curriculum skills include: thinking, using language, participation and contribution.
Key competencies covered in this course are:

- Managing self
- Participating and contributing.
A Science course at Level 1 is compulsory for all students at Kaipara College. Students who want to select L1 Agriculture & Horticulture to fulfil their compulsory Science component must email Mr Coleman to manually enter on SchoolPoint at [email protected]
