NCEA Level 1 Materials Technology (1MAT)
The Materials course is a broad-based course which lays a foundation for entry into Engineering and Carpentry at senior levels. Related curriculum skills include the use of calculations, safe practice, knowledge of properties of materials, and demonstrating foundational carpentry and engineering workshop skills under supervision. This course has both practical and theoretical components.
