Why should students take this course?

We want students who are going to be active, challenge themselves and mange their learning.  Do you want to develop your confidence, performance management and leadership skills through sport?  Then this is the course for you.

What curriculum skills will students learn in this course? 

You will be developing your knowledge and skills in the following topics:  Identify and develop your leadership skills and improve your performance management skills in a team environment.

You will be involved in a variety of different physical activities and recreational pursuits throughout the year, which will develop your skills in communication, social and cooperative strategies, problem solving, leadership, self management, independent work and study and importantly understanding more about yourself, others and society.

Important information

Students who want to gain the full U.S 10 Rippa Rugby credits must do this course in Semester B - compulsory to attend a two day Rugby referee course, and referee at three local tournaments throughout the year.  


No prerequisites.

Full set of PE mufti gear and sports shoes for each practical session.
Chromebook required per 2021 BYOD policy.

Selection of a course does not guarantee entry into the course. Courses may not run due to low numbers and timetable clashes may occur. In both of these situations, the student will be consulted about alternative courses during the Course Confirmation process.
