L1 Music - Semester B

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr G. McLarin

Level 1 Music - Play that Funky Music

Semester B in music is spent focussing on our solo performance skills, as well as diving deeper into the music that we listen to, and knowing what goes into the creation and performance of a song.

By learning and demonstrating practical skills in music creation, performance, and research, you will develop a deeper connection and understanding of the music you listen to, as well as how it functions within your own context. Study in music requires passion, commitment and self-motivation, which are not only the skills required to follow a career in the Performing Arts, but skills that will serve you well in all aspects of life.

We will work simultaneously on the research project and our solo performance, finishing the solo performance by Week 10. Then we will tidy up any left over work, and finish the research project.
