10 Art - Line 2 - Semester A

Year 10 Visual Arts continues to build upon students' development of practical skills, but with an emphasis on refining and extending skills to include contemporary approaches to art making. The course prepares students, and gives students a taste of what is expected, for Year 11 NCEA Visual Arts. There is also an emphasis on exploring contemporary established practice (artists) from Aotearoa. Specialist literacy language and understanding is developed. Various approaches to mixed media and Visual Arts approaches are explored including drawing, painting, collage, designing and print processes.
