Level 2 Chemistry - Semester B

This course looks at how we can understand all the materials that make up our world if we can understand their underlying structure. Why have humans developed as carbon based life forms? Why is water and liquid and why has this shaped the evolution of all life on this planet?

Curriculum Skills:

  • Model making and evaluation of models in science.
  • Communicating in language, symbols and text.
  • Participating and contributing.
  • Analysis of exam questions and evaluation of answers.
  • Use of observable patterns and behavior to infer underlying structure.

Students will need to have studied Semester A Level 2 Chemistry in order to gain a Course Endorsement.


Prior Learning & Prerequisites

Ideally, students choosing this course should have passed a Science external paper at Level 1. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, entry to this course will be on a case by case basis.
