L1 English: Myth & Fantasy - Semester B

Course Description

L1 English: Myth & Fantasy - Semester B

Are you the hero in your own epic journey? This English class is all about the mythical heros of the past and their journeys to greatness.

Talk about big egos! Myths and legends have been used in society for thousands of years to guide the masses. Heroes were the aspirations of children and legends were their dreamed adventures. We will look at how heroes made names for themselves and why we still know of Achilles and Hercules, Maui and Tane to this day.

Standards listed below are subject to change and will be decided in collaboration with the students and their teacher at the beginning of the semester. Students will be offered 8-10 credits for this course. Students will also have the opportunity to take this course without an external exam if they choose.

Students can take this course for both semesters.
