This half-year course covers topics such as Financial Capability (Budgets and Taxes) which will give students the opportunity to achieve five Level 1 credits banked for 2023. There is a research component that gets students to compare and report on the different types of investments such as shares, buying a house, and investing in a business. Students will be assessed on sitting a formal unit standard assessments (open book) and by writing a business plan and participating in the Craft Market Day.
Selection of a course does not guarantee entry into the course. Courses may not run due to low numbers and timetable clashes may occur. In both of these situations, the student will be consulted about alternative courses during the Course Confirmation process.
