Course Description

Gain the necessary experience and skills to safely use a range of new equipment in this Engineering based course for Year 10 and an essential lead into Y11 Engineering . The experience involves design, technical drawing, and modeling so we can communicate what we want to make.Then we learn how to use the different tools such as lathes, milling machines and gas welding equipment etc to make our products to the design. A great way to combine and develop your technical and practical ability. The students will also have the opportunity to demonstrate the correct use of marking out tools and complete the six worksheets to achieve US4433 NCEA Level 1 2 credits. 



Selection of a course does not guarantee entry into the course. Courses may not run due to low numbers and timetable clashes may occur. In both of these situations, the student will be consulted about alternative courses during the Course Confirmation process.
